Here’s a work in progress for Reign of Ice: Snow I, the first King of Antarctica. Obviously, this is the pencil drawing (which I’m off to ink whenever I finish up with this post). Later on, I’ll draw up a frame and a background, then compile the whole thing together in Photoshop.
I’ve got a few more maps and pieces of art I’d like to put up in the gallery, but I’m going to hold off for a bit. I’m going to get the comments and other info on the pieces that are already there out of the way first, else I’ll be playing catchup on it for a while.
I’m pretty happy with my latest batch of maps, though, and I can’t wait to put them up. If time permits, I’ll recreate some of my old Photoshop cartography material and compile it into a PDF.
I put a few more maps up in the gallery this evening. I’ve been converting a lot of my old PDF format maps into JPGs, mostly to keep from taking up scads of storage space here on the website.
Meanwhile, I’ve been waiting for my copy of Wild Talents to arrive… Damn that Media Mail! That’ll teach me never to preorder anything again; I just don’t have the patience to wait around 7 months for a book to come out.
I don’t think Wild Talents is going to replace M&M as my favorite supers game, but I’m keen to check out Ken Hite’s worldbuilding section. It should be pretty keen.
I’ve set up a gallery for my art and maps; click here to check it out. There’s a WordPress plugin that’ll allow me to integrate it into the site, but I haven’t gotten around to setting it up yet. In the mean time, the PHPWebGallery alone works great!
Here’s a sample of the artwork I’m doing for Reign of Ice. There’s a lot of characters in this one, so the art will be keeping me busy for awhile!
